Stanley Mathis
Financial Advisor
Stanley Mathis is a native Texan and a long-time financial advisor. After he graduated from The University of Texas in the late 1970’s he spent a short time working for a world-wide pharmaceutical company before a chance meeting changed his life. He met and became friends with a brokerage executive who suggested that he come into the business. After some thought, he decided to pursue that career and never looked back.
He started at a small regional firm in Houston in 1982 and knew he had found his calling. Stanley spent time in Houston and New York working as an advisor, a trader, and a manager. In the early 1990’s, he moved with his family to Austin, Texas and has been in the area ever since. But, after working for Wall Street firms his entire career, and being at their direction, Stanley decided to go out on his own in 2008. In spite of the ridiculously bad market timing of his move, he has never been happier or enjoyed better relationships with his clients. He is proud of the fact that in numerous families, he is on the third generation and still relishing the help he can give his clients.
Stanley has his series 7, 24 and 52 licenses. He has also served on the boards of the Alzheimer’s Association of Houston and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Austin.
On a personal note, Stanley is married to Susanne. Stanley has two daughters and Susanne has two sons. All have left the nest and launched successfully, so free time isn’t cheerleading and athletics but travel and other interests. You can find both of them on the golf course or in the stands in the fall for college football games.
